A whole new meaning to ‘The Swinging Sixties’

Fourways is proud to be presenting the best new play award winning black comedy ‘Hangmen’, a cracking comic thriller, by Martin McDonagh, author of ‘In Bruges’ and the Oscar winning ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’.
Perhaps the most line-by-line funny play seen in years... Daily Telegraph

Our February 2020 production will be...
The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of Macbeth
By David McGillivray & Walter Zerlin jnr
The Lancaster Arts Centre, Wycombe Abbey School
Thursday 20th, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd February 2020 at 8.00pm

A hilarious comedy with only a passing nod to Shakespeare's masterpiece!
The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen's Guild Dramatic Society ladies mount an assault on the classic tragedy Macbeth. Their production - original in the extreme - should guarantee them a place in the drama finals in Welwyn Garden City after 9 months of painstaking rehearsals. The intrepid ladies unique blend of misplaced enthusiasm, ego, inappropriate casting, and bad acting ensure that what can go wrong does go wrong, and results in a series of hilarious mistakes from beginning to end.
Farndale... Macbeth was first presented in1976 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe where it was an award-winning sell-out, later touring the country to similar acclaim for the next year. It was presented again at the Fringe in 1983.

Supported by Wycombe District Council.
